  1. Reinforced concrete independent foundation.

  • Definition

    Reinforced concrete independent foundation consists of base plate and short column which is connected with front and reat leg of solar mounting system. The base plate and some part of short column is underground, to ensure it has enought strength to withstand wind load.

  • Advantages: Force transmission is clear, reliable, wide range of applications, construction without special construction machinery, the ability to resist the strongest load, anti-flood and wind.

  • Disadvantages: The required amount of reinforced concrete engineering, artificial and more earthwork excavation and backfill volume, long construction period, the destructive power of the environment. The limitations of this foundation are too large and are rarely used in today's PV power plants.

   2. Reinforced concrete strip foundation.

  • Definition

    By setting the base beam between the front and the back of the photovoltaic support, the base center of gravity can be moved between the front and the back of the column, thereby increasing the basic anti-overturning arm and resisting the overturning moment of the photovoltaic support caused by the wind load only by its own weight. The contact area with the foundation soil is large, which is suitable for the area where the site is relatively flat and the groundwater level is low. Because of the relatively large surface area of the foundation, it is typically between 200 and 300 mm deep.

  • Advantages: Earth excavation is small, do not need special construction tools, construction technology is simple.

  • Disadvantages: Requires a large field level, a greater impact on the environment, large demand for concrete, and long curing cycle, the labor required. Basal depth is not enough flood resistance ability.

3. Ground screw

  • Definition:

    Under the front and rear pillars of the photovoltaic stent, hot-dip galvanized steel pipe piles with helical blades are used. The rotating blades can be continuously and intermittently suspended by continuous welding between the rotating blades and the steel pipe. The construction process using professional machinery screwed into the soil.

    The upper portion of the screw pile foundation is exposed to the ground and is connected with the upper bracket by a screw. Through the side friction resistance between the steel pipe pile side and the soil, in particular, the occlusal force between the rotating blade and the soil body can resist the pulling-up force and bear the vertical load, the soil between the pile body, Function to resist horizontal load.

  • Advantages: Construction speed, without the site leveling, excavation without earth, the maximum protection of field vegetation, and the site easy to restore the original appearance, easy to adjust the upper bracket, the height can be adjusted with the topography. Little impact on the environment, less labor required, spiral pile can be used twice.

  • Disadvantages: The cost is relatively high, and need special construction machinery, the most important is the basic level bearing capacity is closely related to the density of the soil layer, screw pile foundation requires a certain degree of dense soil, especially close to the ground shallow soil layer Can be too loose; poor corrosion resistance of the screw pile foundation, although thick hot dip galvanizing can be used, but difficult to adapt to a strong corrosive environment.
